WHEN MY CHILDREN were young I became interested in the fine art of OIL PAINTING.
A local instructor was my first experience with classical oil painting techniques. Once that first tube of paint was opened and the brush dabbed into the mixture I was hooked and couldn’t resist the medium.
The next several years were spent practicing the medium and learning the basics. Soon I was able to participate in local exhibits that proved profitable.

FOLK ART known as TOLE PAINTING became a popular trend in the mid-1970’s. The passion for this art form soon found me studying with PRICILLA HAUSER whose instruction books and examples are now represented in the SMITHSONIAN in WA, DC.
