LONG FORGOTTEN MEMORIES of how I taught myself to draw began with a chance visit to the annual street book fair in downtown Chicago.

Going through stacks of offerings, I happened to come across the very first booklet that began a lifelong interest in the arts. That first instruction booklet purchase required use of my babysitting money.

What seemed at the time to be an indulgent purchase for an eleven year old, years later proved to be a useful tool leading to a profitable trade.

I have found that by practicing doing simple sketches using a WOODEN MANIKIN helps train the hand and eye co-ordination needed for life drawing.
